Mornings in Provence have a special flavor, that of open-air markets, local produce, and spontaneous exchanges. Here are three markets not to miss, all easily reachable from Le Mas Aigaliers.
Friday, Saint-Quentin-la-Potière
Just 15 minutes from Le Mas, this artisan village hosts a modest market under the Halle Joseph Monier. It offers a warm, local atmosphere and remains pleasantly uncrowded. Fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, and ceramics. Each item is simple, colorful, and authentic.
Saturday, Uzès & Avignon
Head to Uzès, a 15 minutes drive from Le Mas, where the expansive market stretches through the medieval town and across the boulevards, with over 200 vendors. A festival of flavors and local traditions, featuring truffles, olives, wines, and more.
Or take a one-hour drive to Avignon, where is an antique market unfolds on Place des Carmes and Place Carnot. You’ll find vintage pieces, Provençal treasures, and period furniture in a refined yet relaxed atmosphere.
